Check clear height
The structure and its cladding take up space. Establish the finished headroom and how the new work meets existing ceilings. A visible beam needs agreement on surface quality, colour and required protection.
Coordinate concealment
A bulkhead may affect lighting or curtain tracks. Coordinate corners, joints and plaster finishes. Do not conceal relevant inspection points before checks are complete. A structural component is not automatically finished to the same visual standard as decorative interior steel.
