A shared flue or chimney above requires additional investigation. Removing the section above the roof also requires a suitable watertight roof repair. Clarify permissions, access and suspect materials before work begins. State whether the scope covers a room-level breast, the flue through several floors, or the roof-level stack. Remaining sections need demonstrably suitable support.
