Useful documents
Floor plans show the layout. Sections and structural drawings may explain floors, supports and foundations. Supply complete documents with notes and legends. A sales floor plan can explain which wall you mean, but it is usually not a structural drawing.
Compare with the building
Check visible dimensions, wall positions and known alterations against the file. Report differences before the engineer establishes assumptions. Ask which additional information or survey is required if only a sales plan is available.

- Request the file for the correct address
- Include later permit drawings
- Mark differences and uncertainties
