Compare the scope
List surveys, calculations, drawings, application support, steel, temporary support, demolition, transport and reinstatement side by side. Check VAT, municipal fees and exclusions. Ask which amounts are fixed and which remain provisional. Every bidder should receive the same drawing and finish requirements.
Make agreements verifiable
Ask who handles additional investigations and changes before extra work begins. Compare relevant previous projects and the contractor’s actual role in them. Record contact persons, completion standards and any offered warranty precisely. A preferred start date still depends on permissions, documents, delivery and site preparation.
