From preparation to completion
The column base and the structure beneath it are part of the design. An existing floor finish is not automatically a suitable bearing surface. Discuss where the column sits in the room, how the floor meets it and the space needed for cladding. The top connection and installation sequence must also be clear before work begins.

What affects the price?
Loads, span, support, access and finishes determine the work. A price for steel alone is not a price for the complete opening. Share your drawings and desired result so the quotation can identify included work, provisional items and exclusions.

Can the column be moved slightly later?
Not without assessment. A different position changes the structural design and may require new calculations or details.
